MJ Audio ("MJ Audio", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to our website at mjaudiopro.com.br, mjaudiopro.com and mjaudio.com.br (the "Website") and to the MJ Audio mobile application (the "App").
The short version: the App does not require an account, does not collect personal information, and does not send data to MJ Audio or to anyone else. It talks to your speaker over Bluetooth and stores your settings on your phone. The Website does not use tracking cookies.
1. The App
Information the App does not collect
The App does not ask you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, audio, precise location, or any other personal information. The App does not include advertising and does not use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
Permissions the App uses
- Bluetooth. Used to find nearby MJ Audio speakers and send control commands to them (volume, equalizer, effects, lighting, firmware updates). Bluetooth data is exchanged only between your phone and the speaker.
- Nearby devices / Location (Android only). Some Android versions require the "Nearby devices" or "Location" permission to scan for Bluetooth devices. The App uses this permission only for Bluetooth scanning. It does not record, store or transmit your location.
You can revoke any permission in your phone's settings. Without Bluetooth access the App cannot connect to your speaker.
Information stored on your device
The App saves your preferences (such as equalizer presets, last connected speaker and lighting settings) in local storage on your phone so they are available the next time you open it. This information never leaves your device and is deleted when you uninstall the App.
Firmware updates
If your speaker supports firmware updates through the App, the App may download an update file from a server operated by MJ Audio or by the speaker manufacturer. That request contains only the information needed to deliver the file, such as the speaker model and firmware version. No personal information is sent.
2. The Website
You can browse the Website without providing any personal information. The Website does not use advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party analytics.
Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests a font, Google receives your IP address and standard browser information in order to serve the file. See Google's privacy policy.
When our hosting provider serves a page, it may keep standard server logs (IP address, time, pages requested, browser type) for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept for a limited time and are not used to identify you.
3. When you contact us
If you email or call us, we receive the information you choose to share (your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message). We use it only to answer you and to provide support or warranty service, and we keep it for as long as needed for that purpose and to comply with the law.
4. Sharing of information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the Website and answer messages (such as email hosting), only as needed, or when required by law.
5. Children
The App and the Website are not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
6. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. The App keeps your settings on your device only. The Website is served over HTTPS.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. Because the App does not collect personal information, these rights mainly apply to messages you send us. To exercise them, email hi@mjaudio.com.br.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If we make material changes to how the App handles information, we will update the App's store listing as well.
